How’s it going with your boyfriend?
くま先生「How’s it going with ~?」で、「～は順調？～の調子はどう？」という意味になるよ。
「How’s it going with your family?」（家族の調子はどうですか？）とか「How’s it going with your work?」（仕事は順調？）という使い方もできるね。
単純に「How’s it going?」て聞かれた場合は、大体「How’s it going with you?」の「with you」が省力された形だから「How are you?」と同じ意味になるよ。
